These are the two latest postcards I received:
Trakai Island Castle - Lithuania
It is a Gothic style castle constructed by the Lithuanian Grand Dukes-Kęstutis and Vytautas at the end of XIV century and the first decade of 15th century.
This castle is located in Trakai, Lithuania on an Island of Lake Galvė. It is sometimes referred to as "Little Mariemburg". Trakai lies around 30 km west of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania and because of this it is a popular tourist destination.Gyverinas yra grazus which means "life is beautiful" in Lithuanian.
I trabocchi - Italy
The trabocco is an old fishing machine typical of the coast of Gargano. They are spread along the coast of southern Adriatic, especially in the Italian province of Foggia, Campobasso and Chieti and also in some parts of the coast of southern Tyrrhenian sea.
The postcard show one of this "trabucchi" in the province of Chieti, in the Abruzzo region. Nowadays, most of them are used as restaurant were people can eat fresh fish.
